Klopp says Marco Silva's Everton 'the best' he has faced as Liverpool boss

Jurgen Klopp believes he is about to face the strongest Everton side yet in his tenure as Liverpool manager.

The Reds host fierce rivals Everton at Anfield on Sunday with Marco Silva being the fourth Toffees boss Klopp will have competed against since arriving at Anfield himself in October 2015.

'He has the best squad,' Klopp said. 'Richarlison, what a player. Bernard came in, (Andre) Gomes, (Yerry) Mina and (Theo) Walcott last year. Since I came in Everton is always busy but it is the best tuned squad, 100 per cent.

'(Wayne) Rooney, (Gylfi) Sigurdsson came two years ago but now they have speed, creativity, good organisation. (Seamus) Coleman back and fit, (Michael) Keane settled and fit, Mina a brilliant player, important for the build-up and (Lucas) Digne, a young Baines if you want.

'And England's No 1 in the goal, that’s a proper squad and would be in all leagues in Europe. The development and improvement is obvious.'

Liverpool will be without their captain, Jordan Henderson, as he serves a one-match ban for his red card in the 3-0 win at Watford last weekend.
