According to ESPN, there has been no approach for Christian Eriksen amid reports Tottenham have quoted Real Madrid a €250 million fee to sign him.
A report in Spain claims Eriksen, 26, is Real's first choice as a long-term replacement for 33-year-old Luka Modric but that Spurs chairman Daniel Levy has placed a massive price tag on the Denmark international's head, even though the midfielder is entering the final 18 months of a deal that expires in the summer of 2020.
Sources have told ESPN, however, that there has been no approach for the former Ajax man -- from Real or any other club.
Last week, Mauricio Pochettino stated that he hopes Eriksen, who scored the decisive goal as Spurs beat Inter Milan 1-0 on Wednesday to keep their Champions League hopes alive, will sign a new deal and extend his stay in north London.
"He knows and we know what we're doing and of course we're working hard," he said. "The club's working to try to take the best decisions. Christian is going to take I think the decision that is best for him.
"We're not worried -- in football I'm never worried -- but I prefer that he's going to sign the new contract and spend a long time with Tottenham. It will be fantastic."
