Former Manchester United striker Louis Saha believes Paul Pogba possesses more ability than club legend Paul Scholes.
The Frenchman, who played alongside Scholes during his United days between 2004-08, was full of praise for his former team-mate and feels Pogba could benefit from taking a leaf out of of the former England midfielder's book.
Saha said he understands why Scholes is so revered by the United fans and why Pogba is yet to reach that level of adulation despite describing him as the complete player, and has urged his compatriot to concentrate on performing consistently.
'I understand that, Paul Scholes was a genius,' Saha told Sky Sports before United's match against Bournemouth at Old Trafford.
'He had a brain, vision, the consistency of his passing was just brilliant. But frankly, he wouldn't have a go at me for saying physically he was no where near.
'He was not fast or very strong, couldn't really dribble past players and all that, but he was consistent. Paul Pogba has everything. He's got the height, he's got the skill, he can score, he can pass as well, he can defend as well.
'Pogba has got that quality to actually be shining on every field. That's what he done in the World Cup.'
Saha also suggested that Jose Mourinho, who had a toxic relationship with the midfielder, was unable to get the best out him, by adding: 'You have to have the players with you as well, but we mentioned the actual body language sometimes was not good.
'And he took up positions where he is going too far to protect his defenders and it's a bad sign because he was trying to recover the ball way too deep and he should be pressing high and then you have a player like Pogba dominating because he is able to suck in the opposition and give the ball and freedom to Martial and all those players.
'I couldn't see this and I was really surprised because the quality of Pogba is to actually be able to suck the opposition in, maybe dribble the ball where nobody can be able to touch him, but he wasn't doing it.'
The 25-year-old has rediscovered his form since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took over, shining in their convincing back-to-back victories against Cardiff and Huddersfield, and Sportsmail columnist Jamie Redknapp believes he has come out the other side now after coming under intense scrutiny for his performances several times this season.
Redknapp said: 'He (Pogba) was under big pressure. He was the one player with the new manager coming in, where does he stand. But he has turned it around almost instantly.
'Ex-players were having a pop at him as well. Everyone has an opinion on him and it puts him under huge pressure but I think he's a wonderful player. Make no mistake, this guy has got bags of talent.'
