Juventus head mentor Massimiliano Allegri has talked about his strategy of resting Cristiano Ronaldo by sending a shrewd burrow towards Madrid.
The Italian has said that with Madrid being 20 points behind Barcelona when Ronaldo came back to the side in December last season, they could viably unwind and concentrate on the Champions league.
"We'll see when he will rest," Allegri advised the media before Juventus' Coppa Italia conflict against Atalanta.
"I will talk with him today; he is doing admirably.
"Physically he is well, the tests are fine.
"As to amount, he is doing likewise as he did in Madrid yet he has greater power.
"A year ago at Madrid, he started playing in December and they were at that point 20 behind Barcelona.
"Suppose they had longer occasions."
Juventus will confront Atletico Madrid in the Spanish capital on 20 February and Allegri's side are viewed as top choices for the tie.
